With this, the total number of deaths in the country has risen to 51.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 9th, the man was confirmed positive at the Gyeongsan City Health Center screening clinic on the 26th of last month after experiencing headaches and chills, and was admitted to Andong Medical Center. He was then transferred to the negative pressure isolation ward at Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital on the 4th and was receiving treatment when his pneumonia symptoms worsened, leading to his death at 8:10 p.m. on the 8th.
The man was known to have hypertension and gout, and his wife was confirmed positive on the 8th and is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment at Pohang Medical Center.
