[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Daebang Group announced on the 6th that it donated 100 million won as a recovery fund to the Daegu region, which is struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).


Daebang Group directly delivered the donation to the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross to help the rapid restoration of Daegu, the area most affected by COVID-19. The Daegu branch of the Red Cross plans to use the donated funds for medical support to treat confirmed patients and for quarantine activities to prevent further spread of COVID-19.


Gu Gyo-woon, Chairman of Daebang Group, said, "We want to contribute a small strength for the citizens of Daegu who are going through the most difficult time due to COVID-19," and added, "On behalf of the executives and employees of Daebang Construction and Daebang Industrial Development, I express our gratitude for the dedication of medical staff working on the front lines to prevent the spread of COVID-19." He also said, "I hope that everyone who is working hard for treatment and quarantine and everyone striving to return to their daily lives in good health will stay strong and overcome this as soon as possible."
