Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants Donates 100 Million Won for COVID-19 Relief Fund

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 5th that it has donated 100 million won in emergency relief funds to the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross to prevent damage caused by the spread of COVID-19.


This donation was raised through the dedication of 23,000 certified public accountants.


The emergency relief funds will be used to purchase necessary emergency relief supplies for medical staff and paramedics who are fighting on the frontlines in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas, designated as special management zones for infectious diseases. It will also be used to support vulnerable groups who have difficulty purchasing various hygiene products.


Choi Joong-kyung, President of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, said, "We are a resilient people who have always come together to overcome difficulties facing our country," adding, "We will surely overcome this COVID-19 disaster as the entire nation wisely responds to it."
