According to Dongshin University on the 28th, the Department of Korean Medicine had 49 candidates take the "75th Korean Medicine Doctor National Examination in 2020," all of whom passed, achieving a 100% pass rate for the third consecutive year following 2018 and 2019.
The Department of Korean Medicine at Dongshin University previously recorded a 100% pass rate for enrolled students on the Korean Medicine Doctor National Examination for six consecutive years from 2011 to 2016.
The Department of Radiological Science also had 49 candidates take the "47th Radiological Technologist National Examination" held last December, all of whom passed, marking a 100% pass rate for two consecutive years. This is significantly higher than the national average pass rate of 77.1%.
The Department of Nursing recorded a 98.5% pass rate with 132 out of 134 candidates passing the "60th Nurse National Examination" held this January, while the Department of Occupational Therapy had 36 candidates take the Occupational Therapist National Examination, with 35 passing (97.2%).
The national averages for these two exams were 96.2% and 91.1%, respectively, which were easily surpassed.
The Department of Physical Therapy had 78 candidates take the "Physical Therapist National Examination" last December, with 71 passing, achieving a 90.5% pass rate, well above the national average of 85.8%. In 2015 and 2017, the department produced top national scorers, and in 2016, it achieved a 100% pass rate.
The Department of Optometry had 27 candidates take the "32nd Optometrist Examination in 2019," with 23 passing (85.2%), significantly higher than the national average of 73.1%.
The Department of Food and Nutrition recorded a high pass rate of 74.0% in the "Nutritionist National Examination" last December, despite the national pass rate being the lowest ever at 54.9%.
The Department of Health Administration also achieved a 75.0% pass rate in last year's "36th Health Medical Information Manager National Examination," higher than the national average of 68.5%.
Choi Il, President of Dongshin University, said, "The high national exam pass rates are the result of an effective curriculum that harmonizes theory and practice, and the efforts of professors and students who have steadily improved their skills through extracurricular study programs like 'Dongshin Firefly' after classes. We will continue to provide maximum support for students to pass their national exams."
