Zenax Signs First Technology Transfer Main Contract with Myeongseong TNS

-Research and Development of LFP Batteries to Target the Global EV Market
-Next-Generation Secondary Batteries with Enhanced Fire Safety, Aiming for Commercialization of Flexible Batteries

Jenax and Myungseong TNS plan to accelerate the development of secondary batteries that enhance ultra-fast charging and fire safety.

On the 27th, Jenax, a specialized manufacturer of secondary lithium-ion batteries, signed a main contract with Myungseong TNS, a technology company in the separator field, regarding the joint use license of patents related to secondary batteries. Myungseong TNS has paid the contract deposit to Jenax and plans to pay the remaining technology transfer fees by the first half of this year.

According to this contract, Jenax and Myungseong TNS will engage in full-scale technological cooperation for the manufacturing of secondary lithium-ion batteries using metal fiber (ultrafine metal fiber). Metal fiber is a technology exclusively held by Jenax in Korea, which can be utilized in secondary battery manufacturing to realize ultra-fast charging, fire safety, and flexible batteries.

Additionally, both companies intend to target the global electric vehicle (EV) market through research and development in the LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery sector, which is the most widely used in China.
