Which Model House Maintains Strict Hygiene Management?

As COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) spreads nationwide, model houses that are currently selling or about to open are welcoming customers in various ways.

While some model houses are postponing their openings, efforts are being made to minimize the risk of infection by implementing strict hygiene management and preventive measures on-site for customers who wish to visit.

In particular, after a one-month pause due to the transfer of subscription operations between the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute (Apartment To You) and the Korea Real Estate Board (Subscription Home) last month, the unexpected outbreak of COVID-19 has increased the burden on the industry to postpone sales once again. However, plans are underway to create clean model houses by preparing various safety measures for homebuyers and conducting continuous monitoring to ensure thoroughness.

On the 21st, Ssangyong Construction’s ‘Ssangyong The Platinum Seoul Station,’ which opened its model house, provided hand sanitizers and made their use mandatory upon entry. They also installed thermal scanners to check the body temperature of visitors and provided free masks to those not wearing one.

On the same day, the model house for ‘Daeyeon Samjeong Green Core The Best’ supplied in Busan entrusted overall sterilization and disinfection to the professional disinfection company CESCO, operated thermal cameras, provided hand sanitizers, and distributed masks to ease visitors’ concerns.

A model house official said, “Although the number of customers visiting model houses has decreased due to the unexpected COVID-19 situation, we are still taking preventive measures for those who come. We are making every effort to eliminate visitors’ anxiety and create an environment that is comfortable for viewing.”

As the industry strives to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by focusing on hygiene management and countermeasures, measures are also being implemented at model houses that are scheduled to open or currently selling.

Korea Asset Trust (developer) plans to sell ‘Summit Park’ in the area of 11-4 and 11-93 Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, in March. The complex, located right in front of Exit 5 of ‘Yangjae Station,’ a double subway station on Line 3 and the Shinbundang Line, has masks, hand sanitizers, and thermal imaging cameras (with staff assigned) at the model house entrance to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In particular, to limit simultaneous visitors to fewer than 10 groups, visits are by prior reservation only, and inside, the flow of customers is restricted to 5-meter intervals with marked spacing. Additionally, two air purifiers operate continuously to remove fine dust and maintain fresh air, and daily disinfection is conducted, allowing visitors to tour in a comfortable atmosphere. The complex consists of one building with four basement floors and 11 above-ground floors, a total of 120 units ranging from 19 to 59 square meters in exclusive area.
