As confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) rapidly increase and the alert level is raised to 'serious,' public anxiety is growing.
In response, Hackers Education Group announced that it is taking maximum measures to actively prevent COVID-19, including postponing the start of classes, temporarily closing academies, and conducting regular disinfection through professional companies to create a safe Hackers environment.
First, Hackers Public Officials Noryangjin Campus and Hackers Teacher Certification will comply with the Ministry of Education's closure recommendation guidelines and will be closed for one week starting Monday, the 24th. Additionally, Hackers Real Estate Agent will be closed until Saturday, February 29, and Hackers Transfer will be closed until Friday, March 6, with the start date changed to Monday, March 9. During the closure period, online lectures will be provided to ensure that examinees' studies are not disrupted and to support continuous learning. Hackers Job Employment Academy and Hackers Language Institute are also postponing their start dates while closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation.
Hackers Education Group is enforcing a policy across all academy sectors?including language institutes, public officials, transfer, employment, business, real estate agent, and teacher certification?that individuals not wearing masks are prohibited from entering and will be asked to leave. Hand sanitizers are placed throughout the academies, and regular ventilation is conducted to prevent virus infection.
Furthermore, thermal scanners have been installed in academy lobbies to monitor students' temperatures in real time. If a student has a fever, thermometers are available at all academy desks to check their temperature accurately, and students showing symptoms of fever are immediately sent home as a standard procedure.
Hackers Education Group conducts disinfection of classrooms inside and outside all campuses once or twice a week regularly, frequently disinfects high-touch areas such as door handles and shared computers, and manages hygiene inspections of academy facilities more thoroughly.
A representative from Hackers stated, “Even amid the spread of COVID-19, we feel the earnest desire of students studying toward their goals.” They added, “Knowing these students’ feelings, Hackers strives to provide thorough management to create a safe environment. From supplying masks and hand sanitizers to disinfection and temporary closures, we are doing our best to ensure students can study with peace of mind.”
