Joo Ho-young: "Yoo Si-min, Please Shut That Mouth... Spouting Fallacies to Defend the President"

[Asia Economy Reporter Shinwon Yoon] On the 26th, Joo Ho-young, a member of the Future United Party, launched a harsh criticism at Yoo Si-min, chairman of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, saying, "Shut that mouth of yours."

On the same day, Joo posted on his Facebook, "No matter how much I try to understand Yoo Si-min's eyes, head, and mouth, I think it is impossible for a normal person," adding, "If he were just talking alone, no one would say anything, but the problem is that he is causing tremendous pain to innocent people."

He continued, "Everyone knows, without needing to borrow the words of experts, that COVID-19 originated in China and that if the infection sources coming from China had been blocked, domestic transmission could have been prevented," adding, "However, Yoo is spouting nonsense, claiming 'six infected people of Chinese nationality,' as if COVID-19 is somehow the responsibility of the Mayor of Daegu and the Governor of Gyeongbuk."

This was interpreted as a criticism of Yoo Si-min’s remarks on the 25th through his YouTube broadcast 'Yoo Si-min's Alileo,' where he criticized Mayor Kwon Young-jin of Daegu and Governor Lee Cheol-woo of Gyeongbuk regarding the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) centered in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, saying, "What kind of public official begs for cooperation from Shincheonji with a tearful expression? I even think this person is not really trying hard to stop it."

Joo said, "Instead of encouraging the Mayor of Daegu and the Governor of Gyeongbuk, who are still struggling and working hard, it is unforgivable to distort facts and try to shift responsibility," adding, "No matter how much you intend to cover for the president’s incompetence and misjudgment, there should be limits."

Finally, he said, "Yoo, just shut that mouth of yours. That is the way to somewhat ease the anger of your hometown people and to serve the administration."
