[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 24th that it has united to make an all-out effort to revitalize the local economy, which has been depressed due to 'COVID-19', along with heads of local organizations.
At the county office situation room, an emergency meeting was held to minimize the damage caused by 'COVID-19' and revitalize the local commercial district, attended by about 20 people including Governor Kim San, Chairman of the County Council Lee Jeong-woon, heads of 18 local organizations, and public officials.
At the meeting, various measures to prevent the spread of 'COVID-19' and to revitalize the local economy were discussed, and plans to be promoted by each organization were shared.
Governor Kim San said, "Due to the impact of 'COVID-19', the damage to the local economy, including small business owners, is more severe than during SARS or MERS," and added, "The county is also implementing various measures to revitalize the local economy, such as closing the in-house cafeteria twice a week, encouraging public officials to use traditional markets, and prioritizing purchases from local companies when buying goods." He urged each organization to work together wisely to overcome the depressed local economy.
Muan County plans to collect the opinions discussed on this day, reflect them in measures to revitalize the local economy, continuously listen to the difficulties of small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises, and prepare necessary support measures.
