Sanders Expected to Win Nevada Primary... Overwhelming Exit Poll Results

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunwoo Lee] U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders is expected to win the Nevada primary, according to local U.S. media reports. Senator Sanders received about 60% support in exit polls, indicating an overwhelming victory is anticipated.

According to U.S. media outlets such as CNN and Fox News, Senator Sanders is expected to win the third primary, the Nevada caucus, held on the 22nd (local time). According to the polling agency Edison Research, Senator Sanders received about 60% support, or roughly 6 out of 10 voters, in the exit poll results. Voters reportedly responded that they chose the candidate who could defeat President Donald Trump.

Fox News reported that in a projected tally based on about 4% of delegates, candidate Sanders received 56% support. Former Vice President Joe Biden received 19.9%, Tom Steyer 9.3%, and Elizabeth Warren 5.8%. If Senator Sanders wins in Nevada, he will achieve a two-win streak following the New Hampshire primary held on the 11th.
