Han Beomdeok, Mayor of Cheongju, stated in a briefing that "we will close multi-use facilities such as sports facilities directly managed or operated by the city, welfare facilities for the elderly and disabled, and libraries."

Cheongju City plans to cancel resident autonomy programs, city-hosted events, and meetings, and also recommend that private events not be held.

As private facilities such as large marts located along the routes visited by the confirmed couple were also urged to close promptly, a large mart in Cheongju decided to temporarily close in the afternoon and conducted internal disinfection on the same day.
