KBS Symphony Orchestra White Day Concerto with Ballerina Choi Yerim and Contemporary Dancer Han Seoncheon

[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] The KBS Symphony Orchestra will hold the 'KBS Symphony Orchestra White Day Concerto, Some Nam Some Nyeo' at Lotte Concert Hall on March 14th in celebration of White Day, featuring ballerina Choi Yerim and contemporary dancer Han Seoncheon.

Choi Yerim and Han Seoncheon are dancers who appeared on the cable channel Mnet's 'Somebody,' which centers on dance and love.

Ballerina Choi Yerim gained great popularity for her graceful dance in 'Somebody 2' and has been active in Russia, Europe, and the United States after winning first place in the pas de deux category at the 2015 Youth America Grand Prix and various other competitions. Han Seoncheon, who performs alongside her, is a contemporary dancer who won the gold prize in the contemporary dance category at the Dong-A Competition and first place at the Seoul International Dance Competition, and has appeared on broadcasts such as 'Dancing 9' and 'Somebody.' He is currently also active as a musical actor.

Conducted by Baek Yunhak, this concert will feature classical music such as Ravel's 'Bol?ro' and Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake,' as well as popular music including Elvis Costello's 'She' and a 'Queen Medley.'

Since 2014, the White Day Concerto has been held for seven years as a self-planned concert by the KBS Symphony Orchestra. Over the years, the performances have focused on popularizing classical music through collaborations with classical pieces, musical actors, Phantom Singers, and classical 'Sswaengnim' Kim Seohyeong, among others.
