A Suspected COVID-19 Case Emerges in Seoul National University Lab... Building Access Restricted


[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-gi] Access to a building at Seoul National University was restricted after a suspected COVID-19 patient was identified at one of its research institutes.


On the 21st, according to Seoul National University, a graduate student A from the Chemical Process New Technology Research Institute at the university showed cold symptoms after visiting Daegu and entered self-quarantine following the health center's guidance.


A is currently undergoing a COVID-19 test and is awaiting the results.


Seoul National University temporarily restricted access to the research institute building where the student had been present in order to disinfect the facility.


A notice was posted on the building stating, "Access is prohibited due to the occurrence of a suspected novel coronavirus symptomatic patient. Your cooperation is requested."
