Kim Kyung-ho, Head of Business Support Division at Gwangju Chamber of Commerce, Receives Industry-Academia Cooperation Award


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Jeong Chang-seon) announced on the 21st that Kim Kyung-ho, Head of the Management Support Division, received the Industry Workforce Development Sector Industry-Academic Cooperation Award at the 16th Industry-Academic Cooperation Awards ceremony held at Mudeung Park Hotel on the 19th.


Head Kim has been striving to implement various education and training projects for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, supporting and fostering business management activities. In particular, since 2006, through the operation of the 'Gwangju Employment Forum,' he has worked to build a network among employment creation organizations in the Gwangju area and to discover regionally appropriate employment policies.


Especially, from January 2016 for four years, he served as the Secretary-General of the Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee, dedicating himself to job creation, a major national issue. In recognition of his achievements, including being selected as the best institution among 16 national human resources development committees in 2018, he was awarded the Industry-Academic Cooperation Award.


Meanwhile, the Industry-Academic Cooperation Award was established in 2004 by the Korea Industry-Academic Cooperation Research Institute (Director Jeong Yong-gi) to select and commend outstanding companies, institutions, and individuals with remarkable industry-academic cooperation achievements during the year, serving as a driving force for regional economic development.
