[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Lee Nak-yeon, the Standing Election Committee Chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, was the first to visit the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) among economic organizations.
According to Kbiz on the 20th, 14 small and medium enterprise organizations invited Chairman Lee to the Kbiz boardroom in Yeouido, Seoul, in the afternoon to deliver policy tasks for the 21st general election and requested cooperation to reflect them in the election pledges.
On this day, the small and medium business sector explained policy tasks by theme, including ▲ establishing a foundation for securing future growth engines ▲ coexistence between large and small businesses and establishing a fair economy ▲ creating an ecosystem for the sustainable growth of small and medium enterprises ▲ revitalizing small and medium enterprise cooperatives ▲ enhancing the vitality of small merchants for the recovery of the grassroots economy ▲ creating an environment for more and better jobs.
In particular, they emphasized that the activation of small and medium enterprise cooperatives, including the recognition of the status of small business owners, improvement of environmental regulations such as the "Act on Registration, Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances (K-REACH)" and the "Chemical Control Act," and the establishment of a fair economy through coexistence between large and small businesses must be resolved in the 21st National Assembly.
Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of Kbiz, said, "We have gathered essential proposals for small and medium enterprises to overcome the difficult economic crisis and revitalize businesses and included them in this policy task book," adding, "I hope that through this general election, a 'Small and Medium Enterprise National Assembly' that actively reflects the voices from the field of small and medium enterprises, which are the backbone of our country's economy, can be established."
On this day, six members including Chairman Lee and Cho Jung-sik, Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party, attended, and about 40 heads of small and medium enterprise organizations attended from the small and medium business sector, including Chairman Kim, Park Mi-kyung, President of the Korea Women Venture Association, Seo Byung-moon, Chairman of the Korea Foundry Industry Cooperative, and Kwon Hyuk-hong, Chairman of the Korea Paper Industry Cooperative.
