Korea Gas Corporation Tongyeong Headquarters Donates Basic Fire Safety Equipment to Vulnerable Groups

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Gas Corporation Tongyeong Base Headquarters held a 'Basic Firefighting Equipment Donation Ceremony' at Tongyeong Fire Station on the 20th.

At the event, Tongyeong Base Headquarters donated 50 powder fire extinguishers and 50 fire detectors to fire-vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients to enable rapid initial response and minimize damage caused by winter fires.

Tongyeong Base Headquarters has annually continued support activities for basic firefighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire detectors, and emergency fire suppression devices in vulnerable groups and densely populated areas to expand local safety infrastructure. They have also continuously held fire safety education inviting children, leading the spread of fire safety culture in the local community.

On the previous day (the 19th), a joint safety inspection (gas, fire, electricity) was conducted for vulnerable groups near the base, including 'child and youth, and disabled group homes.'

Kim Young-gil, head of Tongyeong Base Headquarters, stated, "We will actively engage in various preventive activities to create a safe local community as a public enterprise working together with the local community and related organizations."
