[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunwoo Lee] A Hindu devotee in India has created a temple worshipping U.S. President Donald Trump to welcome his visit to India, attracting international attention. The devotee is known to have been worshipping President Trump since his election.

According to local Indian media such as the Times of India on the 20th, Busa Krishna, a farmer living in the Jangaon area of Telangana state, India, built a small temple for President Trump near his home. Since June last year, he mobilized about 20 workers to create a full-body statue of President Trump and build the temple, conducting Hindu religious rituals as well. It is reported that he wants to meet Trump ahead of the president's visit to India on the 24th of this month.

Krishna said, "I am praying to be able to meet President Trump," and added, "I am also praying for his health and re-election." Krishna began honoring President Trump four years ago, stating that Trump appeared in his dreams right after his election, and the prophecy in the dream came true, which strengthened his faith. Krishna said, "President Trump appeared again in my dream and said that India would defeat Pakistan in the 2019 Cricket World Cup, which indeed happened."

Meanwhile, President Trump will visit India for a one-night, two-day trip from the 24th to the 25th. He is scheduled to visit New Delhi, the capital, Agra where the Taj Mahal is located, and Ahmedabad in the western state of Gujarat.
