CJ Olive Young Introduces 'Gift Sending' Feature on Online Mall: "We Also Provide Recommendations"

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] As the so-called 'Gift Service,' which allows users to send and receive gifts via mobile, rapidly grows, CJ Olive Young is also making a full-scale entry into the related market.


CJ Olive Young announced on the 19th that it will introduce a 'Gift Service' on its official online mall. The new service will be available through mobile devices.


The newly launched gift service includes two features: ▲ a gift service for approximately 140,000 products sold on the online mall and ▲ a curated Health & Beauty specialized 'Gift Section' organized by themes.


The gift service allows users to send gifts using the recipient's mobile phone number. After selecting the product to gift on the online mall, users simply press the gift-shaped button at the bottom of the product detail page. When ordering a gift, users can also write and send a mobile message card within 100 characters.


In particular, an option change feature has been added that allows the recipient to change the color, scent, and other attributes of the gifted product. Reflecting the characteristics of cosmetics, this feature enables selection based on skin condition or personal preference. After confirming the gift via mobile message, the recipient can choose to change options if necessary and enter the delivery address.


The 'Gift Section' has also been launched. This section features curated recommendations that make it easy to select gifts according to target recipients and price ranges based on gift themes by category. It operates with themed categories such as gifts for oneself (self-gift), lovers, parents, health, fragrance, and more.


A CJ Olive Young official stated, “There is a growing trend of mobile gift demand for cosmetics, which are gaining attention as practical and thoughtful gifts,” adding, “The newly launched gift service plans to actively expand the gift market across online and offline channels by integrating with the omni-channel service ‘Oneul Dream’ in the future.”


Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the online mall gift service, CJ Olive Young is holding an event. Customers who use the gift service and enter the event by the 8th of next month will be entered into a draw to win various prizes, including beverage gifticons.
