Comedian Park Seong-gwang shared his thoughts on his marriage.
On the 18th, his agency SM C&C announced, "On May 2nd, Park Seong-gwang will tie the knot with the person he loves," adding, "The wedding ceremony will be held privately."
On the day, Park Seong-gwang smiled happily during a phone call with reporters, saying, "That's how it happened."
He continued, "It doesn't feel real. Many people are congratulating me, and I am truly grateful," and expressed his marriage sentiment, "I will live beautifully and well."
The bride-to-be is a non-celebrity seven years younger than him. The two had known each other as acquaintances for a long time and began a serious relationship around last fall.
Park Seong-gwang said, "I had known my girlfriend for a long time, and one day we happened to meet at the same place. It had been a while since we last met, and good feelings developed."
He added shyly with a smile, "I don't know what to say. I feel overwhelmed."
Following the news of Park Seong-gwang's marriage, many congratulations and support messages have poured in. When asked about this, Park said, "I haven't been able to check the comments because I've been busy with other work," adding, "I've received a lot of messages. I am grateful for all the congratulations, and I feel so shy that my body is twisting."
On the same day, SM C&C stated, "According to the wishes of Park Seong-gwang and his bride-to-be, who want to quietly cherish the most important and happiest moment of their lives, the wedding will be held privately in Seoul with family members from both sides and close acquaintances."
Through his agency, Park Seong-gwang conveyed, "I will show even better sides of myself as a cheerful entertainer who can repay the love I receive, and as the head of a family."
Meanwhile, Park Seong-gwang debuted in 2007 as a KBS 22nd generation public comedian and gained popularity through shows like KBS2's 'Gag Concert.' In 2008, he won the KBS Entertainment Awards Rookie Award, and in 2017, he experienced a second heyday with his unique entertainment skills on JTBC's 'Night Goblin.' In 2018, he appeared with manager Lim Song on MBC's 'Omniscient Interfering View,' and that year, he won the Male Excellence Award in the Variety category at the MBC Entertainment Awards and the Best Idea Award at the 26th KBS Entertainment Awards, establishing himself as a leading figure in the industry.
