"Called a Political Migratory Bird in Namjosun"
Following Last Week's Fierce Attack, Criticism Strikes Again
Ahn Cheol-soo, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Formation of the People’s Party, is announcing the "Action Plan for the Safety of Children and Adolescents" at the National Assembly Press Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on the morning of the 17th. On the 18th, North Korea once again fiercely criticized former lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo, who had been suddenly attacked last week.
North Korea's external propaganda outlet "Meari" published an article titled "The Model of a Political Migratory Bird," stating, "Ahn Cheol-soo, who is called a political migratory bird in South Korea, is once again staging a farce and receiving criticism from various circles," and claimed, "It would be better if Ahn Cheol-soo changed his profession from politician to fashion model."
The outlet said, "Every time a fashion exhibition is held, fashion models attract the audience's attention by changing into different clothes today and tomorrow. Doesn't Ahn Cheol-soo's behavior remarkably resemble that of a fashion model?" and added, "Every election season, Ahn Cheol-soo joins one party today, suddenly creates a new party tomorrow, and the next day stages another party founding spectacle, trying to catch the public's eye with his cunning."
Meari stated, "(Ahn Cheol-soo is) a political migratory bird who changes his clothes up to twelve times overnight, chasing only political gain without any smart ideology or philosophy," and raised its voice, saying, "While there may be people applauding fashion models, there will be no one who applauds the political migratory bird model Ahn Cheol-soo or is fooled again to give him votes, which is the unanimous evaluation of South Korean public sentiment today."
Earlier, on the 11th, North Korea used propaganda media to criticize former lawmaker Ahn as a "political migratory bird who does not know his place," and on the 12th, called him a "stinking political scoundrel."
Given that the approval rating of the People’s Party (tentative name) led by former lawmaker Ahn remains in the single digits, North Korea's intense focus on him is considered somewhat puzzling.
Former lawmaker Ahn quoted North Korea's critical article reported last week on his Twitter and left a brief message with a question mark ("?").
