BTS "Congratulations to Director Bong Joon-ho"

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] BTS member V (real name Kim Tae-hyung) congratulated director Bong Joon-ho of the film Parasite, which won four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards.

On the 10th, V posted on BTS's official Twitter account, "Director Bong Joon-ho, really really really really truly truly congratulations." Along with the message, he also shared a photo of Director Bong holding the Academy trophy.

He also posted a photo of actor Choi Woo-shik with the hashtag '#WooshikssiIWatchedYouWipeYourTearsWell.' Choi Woo-shik is known to be close friends with BTS member V.

Parasite and BTS play a significant role in promoting Korean Wave culture through their global popularity.

Earlier, at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, when asked about Canadian media recognizing Korea's originality, Director Bong replied, "Although I am here at the Golden Globes, the power BTS holds is more than 3,000 times mine," adding, "It is a country where many such great artists inevitably emerge. Korea is an emotionally dynamic country."
