[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actress Lee Ha-nee congratulated the film Parasite for winning four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards.

On the 10th (Korean time), Lee Ha-nee posted on her Instagram, "I never thought I would see an Oscar Best Picture and Best Director winning four awards in my lifetime. I am truly happy to cheer together in LA! Long live Korean cinema and Chungmuro," along with a photo with the cast members.

She added, "I am so proud. I celebrate and enjoy this moment," and "Someone might think I won an award, but I am really that happy! I have slept well today."

However, some netizens left critical comments on Lee Ha-nee’s post, saying it was "inappropriate," and the post has since been deleted.

After deleting the post, Lee Ha-nee said, "If anyone felt uncomfortable or upset by the feed I posted with the intention of congratulating seniors and colleagues, I apologize," and added, "I think I was mainly driven by the desire to share my personal excitement with those in my homeland."

She continued, "I hope sufficient congratulations and glory go to those who have made history in other Korean films, and I bow my head in admiration for all their efforts."
