[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do has confirmed this year's top welfare priority as ‘job creation’ and is launching an all-out effort.
On the 10th, Jangseong-gun announced that it plans to upgrade the previously successful 3-sector support method implemented last year by adding the ‘Operation of Job Support Project Promotion Team,’ thus promoting a more advanced 4-sector support method.
The county expects about 2,000 people to benefit from jobs through the ‘4-sector support method,’ which consists of ▲providing job creation subsidies to companies and workers ▲conducting customized vocational training for workforce development ▲operating job matching centers connecting jobs and manpower ▲operating a job support project promotion team.
As the 1st sector support method, the ‘Job Creation Subsidy Support Project’ will promote a total of 13 projects, including youth retention incentive support, Youth Naeillo and Maeullo projects, new middle-aged job projects, public work, and community job projects, supporting about 250 people.
The 2nd sector, ‘Customized Vocational Training,’ will operate five training courses such as marketing office worker training, welfare master course, and culinary expert course, considering Jangseong’s industrial demand, to train about 100 female workers. Additionally, it plans to nurture about 50 talents through new industry education to solve employment issues arising from industrial development.
The 3rd sector support method is the ‘Operation of Customized Job System through Job Matching Centers.’
The county operates two job support centers that provide suitable workers to hiring companies and customized jobs to job seekers. It also runs the Women’s New Work Center for employment linkage and follow-up management of career-interrupted women, and through the Hope Job Center supporting jobs for all age groups and genders, plans to hold job fairs and reemployment preparation training for the new middle-aged.
The county expects to connect about 1,000 jobs through the operation of job support centers.
The 4th sector support method is the ‘Operation of Job Support Project Promotion Team.’
Although there are many job policies from central government ministries, Jeollanam-do, and Jangseong-gun, many people miss out on benefits due to lack of awareness or inconvenience in applying. To solve this, six personnel will be organized into three teams to regularly visit companies and explain subsidy support projects, striving to prevent any promotional leakage.
Through the 4-sector support method, Jangseong-gun aims to revitalize stagnant companies and provide quality jobs to young people and women struggling with job shortages, accelerating the construction of a ‘livable Jangseong, prosperous Jangseong.’
