[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] YouTuber 'Ujjang,' who is under police investigation for pretending to be a confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) on the subway, posted a video mocking the police's request for an arrest warrant.
On the 8th, Ujjang uploaded a video titled "I am so scared of the arrest warrant, I sincerely reflect" on his YouTube channel.
In the video, Ujjang shouted, "What should I do, everyone? The 'gyeonchal' (a derogatory term comparing the police to dogs) said they applied for an arrest warrant."
He said, "I was so scared that I wet myself," and even poured water on his pants.
Ujjang burst into laughter as if he found the situation amusing. He said, "Just because they apply for an arrest warrant doesn't mean you are 100% (arrested)," adding, "It requires approval from the prosecution and the court."
When netizens criticized him for not reflecting on his actions, he laughed loudly and said, "I shouldn't be laughing in such a serious situation, but I am reflecting."
It is known that Ujjang showed no remorse during the police investigation either.
Meanwhile, Ujjang is suspected of suddenly coughing and pretending to be a novel coronavirus patient inside Busan Subway Line 3 around 4:30 p.m. on the 30th of last month. The police applied for an arrest warrant on the grounds that Ujjang spread false information causing public anxiety, charging him with obstruction of business and causing anxiety under the Minor Offenses Act.
