'I Am a Trot Singer' Park Seo-jin Captivates Audience with Stage... Rises to No. 1

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Joo-hee] Trot singer Park Seo-jin, who appeared on 'I Am a Trot Singer,' took first place in the first round of the competition.

On the 5th broadcast of MBC Every1's 'I Am a Trot Singer,' seven trot singers including Park Seo-jin, Geum Jan-di, Jo Hang-jo, Park Gu-yoon, Jo Jung-min, Park Hye-shin, and Kim Yong-im competed with their 'favorite songs.'

Park Seo-jin said, "Compared to other seniors, people might not know much about me, so I was nervous that I might not be able to form a connection," and chose Na Hoon-a's 'Eomma' (Mother) as his song.

He added, "There is a big difference in career and age compared to Na Hoon-a sunbaenim, so it probably won't feel like the way Na Hoon-a sunbaenim sang it," and said, "I hope you will embrace me with a generous heart even if I make mistakes," before starting his performance.

Park Seo-jin's heartfelt voice and explosive emotions moved the audience to tears. After finishing the stage, Park Seo-jin also showed tears, saying, "Seeing the audience cry, I couldn't hold back my tears."

With his unique sensitivity, Park Seo-jin gained the audience's response and won first place in the first round by receiving a total of 459 votes.

Meanwhile, MBC Every1's 'I Am a Trot Singer' will hold the second round of the competition at 10 PM on the 12th.
