20s Woman Found Dead in Accommodation of Russian Branch Manager of Domestic Department Store

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] A woman in her 20s was found dead in the residence of a department store branch manager in Moscow, Russia, prompting police to launch an investigation.

According to Russian RBC News and others on the 3rd (local time), a woman was found dead in the bathroom of an apartment in downtown Moscow belonging to a domestic brand department store branch manager (44) the previous day. The woman was identified as a Ukrainian-born voice actress for animated films and a dancer.

At the time of discovery, the woman was lying in an empty bathtub, and investigations revealed no signs of trauma from assault.

In the local police investigation, the branch manager reportedly stated, "On the evening of the 1st, I met the woman at a club in downtown Moscow, drank together, and then brought her to my apartment." They continued drinking until late, and around 3 a.m., the woman went into the shower room while he moved to the bedroom and fell asleep.

Additionally, the branch manager stated in the investigation, "The next morning, when I woke up, I found the woman collapsed in the bathroom and called emergency medical services, but she was already deceased."

The police are analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showing the branch manager and the woman entering the residence together after meeting at the club party to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
