CareLabs, operator of Goodoc, the nation's No. 1 healthcare platform, analyzed that the social concern over infection risks likely influenced the fact that users utilizing Goodoc's hospital and pharmacy search service increased by more than 130% compared to the average usage starting from the 24th.
As of 12 PM on January 30, a total of 7,810 infected cases have been reported across 18 countries. In response, Goodoc, a healthcare platform under CareLabs, announced that it has applied a hospital search filter for screening clinics in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Welfare for patients suspected of the novel coronavirus (Wuhan pneumonia).
Screening clinics are spaces where patients suspected of infection with the novel or Wuhan pneumonia are examined in negative pressure clinics installed outside hospitals, separating them from general patients to prevent infection during treatment.
Currently, screening clinics are operating nationwide in 503 medical institutions, including 81 in Gyeonggi, 55 in Gyeongnam, 54 in Jeonnam, 51 in Seoul, 44 in Gyeongbuk, and 30 in Incheon.
Park Kyung-deuk, CEO of CareLabs, stated, "The best prevention against novel coronavirus infection is washing hands," and added, "If symptoms of Wuhan pneumonia appear, we urge people to inquire at their local Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and refer to the nearby screening clinic information provided by Goodoc before visiting for treatment."
