[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun) officials are busily working to prevent the spread of the virus following the confirmation of the seventh domestic case of the novel coronavirus infection on the 31st.
The district elevated the Emergency Quarantine Task Force to the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 28th. The head of the headquarters is the district mayor, and 13 working teams manage the situation.
The district has set up a screening clinic (air tent) in front of the public health center to conduct epidemiological investigations on suspected patients, and thermal imaging cameras are installed in the district office civil service center and the public health center lobby to check visitors for fever.
Emergency quarantine supplies (masks, hand sanitizers, hand soaps) are stocked in public facilities such as the district office and community service centers for residents to use. When welfare planners from the visiting community service center and visiting nurses go to the field, they carry masks for themselves and the visitors to ensure no inconvenience.
Seong Jang-hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "As of the 31st, there are zero confirmed cases and zero individuals under active monitoring in the region," adding, "Our staff will do their best so that residents can live with peace of mind."
