The temporary office is a three-story above-ground temporary building with a total area of 7,512㎡, designed with a structure that efficiently utilizes space. It will be operated for about two years until the new office building is completed in the first half of 2022.

To minimize inconvenience to residents and administrative gaps, over 500 employees participated in a concentrated relocation effort over four days during the Lunar New Year holiday. After the demolition of the existing office, construction of a new building will begin in June on the Bokcheon-dong office site, consisting of 9 floors above ground (4 basement levels), with a total area of 27,890㎡ and approximately 260 parking spaces. In particular, the multipurpose hall on the second floor, with about 300 seats, is planned to be used for various lectures, performances, and wedding ceremonies, which is expected to increase the utilization rate of the office facilities by residents.

Meanwhile, on the 13th of next month at 3 p.m., an opening ceremony for the temporary office will be held in the front yard of the temporary office, attended by the Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City, members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, and residents.

District Mayor Kim Wooryong said, “The temporary office will become the new administrative center where work begins until the new office building is constructed.”
