[Featured Stock] RSUPPORT Actively Adopts Remote Work Amid Wuhan Pneumonia... All Hong Kong Officials Work from Home

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] RSUPPORT is showing strong performance. Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia), the company announced that it will provide its cloud video conferencing service 'RemoteMeeting' and remote control service 'RemoteView' free of charge for three months to help companies and organizations experiencing difficulties in their work, which appears to have influenced its stock price. The Hong Kong government ordered all public officials to work from home on the 28th. Additionally, public facilities such as museums and libraries will be closed indefinitely.

As of 10:26 AM on the 30th, RSUPPORT is trading at 3,035 KRW, up 9.37% from the previous day.

Due to the novel coronavirus, events, outdoor activities, business trips, and fieldwork have been repeatedly canceled, causing inconvenience to corporate activities and daily life. Moreover, concerns about infection have increased since the Lunar New Year holiday, affecting business continuity. As face-to-face and contact activities are inevitably reduced, the damage is gradually increasing.

RSUPPORT stated, "At times like these, cloud video conferencing and remote control services that can be immediately implemented create a work-from-home and remote work environment, allowing some relief from infection concerns," adding, "There is an advantage in securing business continuity even during disasters through flexible work styles that allow work without time and location constraints."

RSUPPORT plans to support minimizing inconvenience and damage that companies and organizations may experience by providing 'RemoteMeeting' and 'RemoteView' free of charge for three months.

RemoteMeeting, the number one cloud web video conferencing service in the domestic market, can be used with just a web browser without the need to install anything on a PC. It offers screen and document sharing functions, screen recording, and collaboration tools enhanced with AI (artificial intelligence), enabling effective work-from-home and remote work without commuting or long-distance travel through online collaboration.

RemoteView is remote control software that helps users operate PCs, mobile devices, and unattended terminals connected to the internet anytime and anywhere. It provides a user experience as if the device is being used right in front of the user, even when controlling devices located far away. PCs can be easily controlled via mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Especially during work-from-home and remote work, users can access office PCs from anywhere to retrieve files or use specialized programs, maintaining business continuity.

Hyungsoo Seo, CEO of RSUPPORT, said, "We participated in disaster recovery by providing our products free of charge during the 2011 Japan earthquake and the 2015 MERS outbreak," adding, "We hope that our non-face-to-face and contactless communication services will help maintain business continuity and prevent infections, even if only a little."

Researcher Seob Shim from Yuanta Securities explained, "RSUPPORT's solutions are expected to benefit widely due to changes in the times as well as various policy and institutional changes," adding, "Remote control solutions are aligned with the telework era, including the 52-hour workweek, minimum wage increases, and family care policies, and are used by more than 700 customers domestically, leading to steep sales growth."
