[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized Won Jong-geon (27), the second recruitment talent of the Democratic Party of Korea who announced his voluntary resignation on the 28th amid sexual violence allegations, saying, "Perfect. Until the moment he leaves, he is the second generation of Cho Kuk."
On the same day, Jin posted on his Facebook, attaching an article about Won's voluntary resignation press conference and made this remark.
Earlier that day, Jin also posted on Facebook, "I oppose the withdrawal of Won Jong-geon's recruitment," sarcastically stating, "He preaches feminism with his mouth but practices misogyny and date rape with his body. Isn't this hypocrisy exactly the core value of the Democratic Party that the party, government, and its supporters have risked their lives to protect over the past few months?"
He continued, "This guy (Won Jong-geon) is the second Cho Kuk, Cho Kuk Junior. The party should take special care of him. He is a young talent who perfectly fits the identity of the Democratic Party," he reiterated.

The sexual violence allegations against Won surfaced when a woman who introduced herself as Won's ex-girlfriend, Ms. A, posted a message on an internet cafe titled "Exposing the truth about Won Jong-geon, the Democratic Party's second recruitment talent who appeared on the show 'Exclamation Mark
In her post, Ms. A claimed, "This contains 100% facts," and stated, "Won Jong-geon continuously treated me, his girlfriend, as a sexual object and tormented me with misogyny and gaslighting (emotional abuse involving manipulation of another's psychology or situation)."
Ms. A further posted four photos showing bruises on her lower body and one screenshot of a KakaoTalk conversation, claiming these prove forced sexual relations. This post rapidly spread through social networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
As the controversy escalated, Won held a press conference at the National Assembly's Press Hall on the morning of the 28th and announced, "I will voluntarily return my qualification as a recruitment talent for the Democratic Party's 21st general election." However, regarding the sexual violence allegations, he explained, "The posts are not true. I apologize for the situation itself."
