[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Bank installed thermal imaging cameras in the lobby of its headquarters in Hoehyeon-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 28th to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia).

Through this, Woori Bank plans to screen the body temperature of customers and employees entering and exiting the main branch's service counters and report to health authorities if necessary. Hoehyeon-dong, where Woori Bank's headquarters is located, is adjacent to Myeongdong, which has many Chinese tourists.

Woori Bank also instructed its branches to purchase hygiene masks and hand sanitizers for employees to use.

At foreigner-specialized branches, hospital-located branches, branches with pregnant employees, and branches near markets, employees are required to wear masks when serving customers.

A Woori Bank official said, "If infection is suspected among employees or their families, they will be able to receive prompt examination and treatment at nearby medical institutions."

Woori Bank also plans to identify employees who have recently traveled to China and take necessary measures.
