[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Son Taeseok] Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam is raising the winter sports enthusiasm by attracting winter competitions and training teams.
According to Namhae-gun, starting with the professional football team Busan IPark in November last year, 22 football teams, 10 baseball teams, 3 volleyball teams, and 8 badminton teams are currently conducting or planning winter training camps in Namhae-gun.
The county expects that from November last year to February this year, about 100 teams and over 50,000 people will visit Namhae.
Each training team is actively training to achieve good results this year at 11 all-season natural fields such as Namhae Sports Park and Sangju Sports Park, 5 artificial turf fields, baseball stadiums, and Namhae Indoor Gymnasium. In February, a baseball stove league will also be held, attracting about 200 baseball players from 6 teams nationwide to Namhae.
The reason Namhae-gun is gaining attention as a venue for winter competitions and training camps is due to its mild climate and top-class sports facility infrastructure. To attract winter training teams, the county offers discounts on sports facility usage fees and supports supplies, while actively providing various assistance such as listening to difficulties and suggestions to ensure no inconvenience during training.
