With the burden of fuel prices increasing due to Middle East risks, knowing affordable highway gas stations in advance can help you travel economically.
According to the Korea National Oil Corporation’s fuel price information site Opinet, as of 2:30 PM on the 25th, the nationwide average price of gasoline is 1,570.95 KRW per liter. The average price in Seoul is 1,645.94 KRW.
Gasoline prices at major highways tend to be somewhat lower compared to the national average.
The average gasoline price at 16 gas stations on the Gyeongbu Expressway northbound was 1,524 KRW. Oil Petroleum Co., Ltd. Unyang gas station was the cheapest at 1,514 KRW. Shintanjin gas station and Jukam gas station followed at 1,521 KRW each, and Hwanggan gas station, Boryeongmulsan Okcheon gas station, and Chupungnyeong gas station each recorded 1,522 KRW.
The average gasoline price at 11 gas stations on the Seohaean Expressway northbound was 1,575 KRW. The cheapest was Hampyeongcheonji gas station at 1,520 KRW per liter. Next were Daebo Distribution Co., Ltd. Hwaseong gas station at 1,524 KRW, Seochang Industry Co., Ltd. Seocheon gas station at 1,525 KRW, and KR Industry Co., Ltd. Hongseong gas station at 1,528 KRW.
The average gasoline price at 8 gas stations on the Jungbu Naeryuk Expressway northbound was 1,520 KRW. Namseongju (Yangpyeong) gas station was the cheapest at 1,510 KRW per liter. Following were Korea Expressway Corporation Mungyeong (Yangpyeong) gas station at 1,513 KRW, Seongju (Yangpyeong direction) gas station at 1,518 KRW, and SS Distribution Seonsan (Yangpyeong direction) gas station at 1,520 KRW.
On the Yeongdong Expressway northbound, Korea Expressway Corporation Munmak gas station was the cheapest at 1,513 KRW. Next were Daehyun Distribution Co., Ltd. Hoengseong gas station at 1,524 KRW, Seochang Industry Co., Ltd. Yongin gas station at 1,525 KRW, Pyeongchang (Seochang) gas station at 1,533 KRW, and KIS Information & Communication Co., Ltd. Gangneung gas station at 1,535 KRW.
The average gasoline price at 6 gas stations on the Honam Expressway northbound was 1,524 KRW per liter, with Baekyangsa Rest Area being the cheapest at 1,493 KRW. The other five stations all recorded prices in the 1,500 KRW range.
On the Namhae Expressway, Sacheon gas station was the cheapest at 1,518 KRW per liter, while Gyeongin Petroleum Jinyeong gas station was the most expensive at 1,529 KRW. The other three gas stations all had the same price of 1,519 KRW.
Additionally, drivers who need to take the Gyeongchun Expressway should refuel before departure. There is only one gas station located on the Gyeongchun Expressway, at Gapyeong Rest Area. The gasoline price there is 1,596 KRW per liter.
