[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 25th, the Bareunmirae Party stated, "We promise to take the lead in practicing pragmatic reform politics in the new year as well."
Choi Do-ja, the chief spokesperson of the Bareunmirae Party, said in a commentary on the same day, "We will lead political change that gives hope to the people through new centrist, pragmatic, and reform politics."
Choi emphasized, "Last year, the political sphere made our people suffer due to extreme confrontation. The extreme politics of the two major parties neglected people's livelihoods and the economy, only increasing conflicts in our society. Now, it must change."
Choi added, "We must listen to the voices of the people and end the ideological political structure of extreme confrontation. The Bareunmirae Party will take the lead in practicing pragmatic reform politics that pursues the nation's future and seeks the well-being of the people throughout this year as well."
