The movie 'The Man Standing Next' sailed smoothly at the box office on the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 25th, the film attracted 535,150 viewers on the previous day (24th) across 1,563 screens (8,784 showings). This is a 59.8% (202,830) increase compared to the 23rd. The seat occupancy rate (33.5%) was the second highest among films with over 10,000 seats secured. It still leads in reservation rate (48.9% as of 9 a.m. on the 25th), indicating a strong path during the Lunar New Year holiday. The cumulative audience reached 1,127,766.
'Hitman' drew 220,805 viewers on 964 screens (4,714 showings). This is an 83.2% (103,050) increase from the 23rd. The seat occupancy rate rose significantly from 16.0% to 29.9%. The reservation rate (21.7%) is also sharply rising, forecasting good performance during the holiday. The cumulative audience is 438,233.
'Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP' attracted 79,721 viewers on 652 screens (2,579 showings). The seat occupancy rate increased from 14.6% to 25.0%. However, the reservation rate remains in the single digits at 7.6%. The cumulative audience is 184,287.
'Spy X Family' (52,052 viewers; cumulative 111,233), 'Secret Zoo' (41,586 viewers; cumulative 1,039,133), 'Dolittle' (14,936 viewers; cumulative 1,545,772), and 'Bad Guys: Forever' (9,291 viewers; cumulative 494,146) followed in order.
