On the 24th (local time), according to the Associated Press and others, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that a 60-year-old woman residing in Chicago was infected with the coronavirus, the cause of Wuhan pneumonia.
The woman is reported to have been infected after recently traveling to Wuhan, China. It is known that after returning from China on the 13th, she noticed abnormal symptoms and voluntarily reported her condition to the hospital.
The CDC stated that it is currently investigating 63 suspected cases across 22 states in the U.S., among which 2 have tested positive and 11 have tested negative.
