Coast Guard Organization Management to Be Directly Reviewed and Evaluated by the Public... Recruiting 80 Inspection Team Members Korea Coast Guard

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Korea Coast Guard is recruiting 80 members for the 'Citizen Participation Inspection Team' to directly observe and evaluate the organization and operation of the Coast Guard.

The Citizen Participation Inspection Team was established to effectively respond to the recent surge in water leisure safety accidents and to meet the public's demand for clean seas.

The recruitment fields are two areas: water leisure and marine pollution prevention. Members will visit sites directly to evaluate the appropriateness of personnel size and whether system improvements are needed.

Anyone who loves our seas and is interested in Coast Guard policies can apply.

Applicants can download the application form from Gwanghwamoon1st (https://gwanghwamoon1st.go.kr) or the Korea Coast Guard website (https://kcg.go.kr), fill it out, and submit it via email (khlee8017@gmail.com) by the 6th of next month.

The final selected Citizen Participation Inspection Team will start with a preliminary briefing session in February, then visit Coast Guard field departments in Ulsan (marine pollution prevention) and Busan (water leisure) to observe work processes. In March, they will conduct in-depth discussions on policy measures.

They will receive a certificate of appointment along with a nominal participation fee.

A Korea Coast Guard official stated, "We hope that through active public participation, many good policies will emerge to create safe and clean seas."
