Visit to Dongha Corporation Co., Ltd. Semiconductor Raw Material Inspection Company Gwangju Plant

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 23rd that on the late afternoon of the 22nd, Mayor Lee Yong-seop of Gwangju Metropolitan City visited Dongha Corporation Co., Ltd.'s Gwangju factory in Daechon-dong, Buk-gu, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday to listen to voices from the field and communicate.

Dongha Corporation Co., Ltd., whose main business is semiconductor raw material inspection, was established in 1998 and has business sites in Gwangju and Icheon.

In 2018, it was designated as a youth-friendly small and medium-sized enterprise by the Korea Federation of SMEs, and in 2017, it signed an investment agreement worth 5 billion KRW with Gwangju City, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.

Kim Eung, CEO of Dongha Corporation Co., Ltd., said, "Although there were many difficulties last year due to Japan's export regulations and instability in the semiconductor market, it is expected that the semiconductor sector will boom again this year, so we anticipate additional employment."

The mayor encouraged the night shift workers, saying, "You who light up the site and work late despite difficult conditions are the mainstay supporting the Gwangju community," and added, "We will do our best to create a good working environment for you."

He continued, "Thank you for maintaining employment and making efforts such as pioneering new markets despite difficult circumstances," and said, "We will focus on attracting investment through the designation of the Free Economic Zone and developing Gwangju as an AI-centered city to open an era of Gwangju where it is good for you to work and good for companies to do business."

Mayor Lee Yong-seop's visit to the field of people's livelihood was arranged to communicate with citizens and listen to voices from the field while traveling around the region ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
