Hwasun-gun Installs Windbreaks and Heated Seats at Bus Stops

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 24th that it recently installed 5 heated seats and 15 windbreak screens at bus stops with high foot traffic and frequently used by transportation-vulnerable residents to support citizens using public transportation.

Heated seats and windbreak screens are representative measures to combat cold waves by alleviating the cold.

The heated seats use carbon fiber with high thermal conductivity, providing high heating efficiency with low electricity costs, and allow temperature and time settings depending on the weather.

To help citizens using public transportation in winter briefly warm up, the seats are automatically adjusted to maintain 38℃ from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., the bus operation hours.

A county official said, “We hope this helps residents escape the biting cold even for a short time,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to resolve inconveniences in daily life.”
