CDC: "All 4 Suspected Wuhan Pneumonia Cases Test Negative"... Scheduled for Release from Quarantine

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on the 22nd that all four suspected cases of the novel coronavirus from China, known as 'Wuhan pneumonia,' tested negative.

The KCDC conducted pan-coronavirus tests on three individuals who had contact with the first confirmed case and one self-reported individual from the community, all of whom tested negative and will be released from isolation. A negative result means there is no relation to Wuhan pneumonia.

The pan-coronavirus test detects all coronaviruses, including the novel coronavirus that causes Wuhan pneumonia.

Currently, there is one confirmed case of Wuhan pneumonia in South Korea. The confirmed patient is isolated and receiving treatment in a nationally designated inpatient treatment facility, and their condition is stable.
