[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Former Bareunmirae Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo criticized the Moon Jae-in administration on the 22nd, saying it is a "3-no (無) government" with no ability, no democracy, and no fairness.

On the same day, former lawmaker Ahn met with Yoon Soon-chul, Secretary General of the Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice (CCEJ), and Kim Heon-dong, Head of the Real Estate Construction Reform Headquarters, at CCEJ in Jongno-gu, Seoul. He said, "The purpose of this general election is to correct all three," referring to the three issues. The meeting focused intensively on the soaring real estate prices and the deterioration of the government's fiscal soundness.

Ahn emphasized, "Real estate speculation for unearned income, not investment for future growth, is the road to national ruin," and added, "The government should not postpone changes until after the election but implement policies that can be executed even now."

Right after the meeting, when asked by reporters what policies the government could implement even now, Ahn mentioned the "price ceiling system for pre-sale apartments." He stated, "The current government is postponing the introduction of the price ceiling system until after the election, but CCEJ's position is that it should be introduced quickly, and I agree with that."

Regarding his future course of action, Ahn said, "First, I will tell you 'what I will do,' and then consider what form is necessary to achieve that," adding, "It has been about two and a half days since I returned to the country. I am gradually explaining the parts I have been contemplating in detail."

Meanwhile, CCEJ requested Ahn, saying, "We hope this general election becomes an opportunity to sweep away forces that promote speculation and corruption," and asked, "Please do not nominate people who engage in real estate speculation and include policies to eliminate real estate speculation in your pledges."
