Gochang-gun, Recruiting New Residents for Seoul and Jeonju Scholarship Dormitories

Applications open until the 14th of next month... 60 in Seoul, 105 in Jeonju

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 22nd that the Gochang-gun Scholarship Foundation, a foundation corporation, is recruiting 60 residents for the Seoul Scholarship Dormitory and 105 residents for the Jeonju Scholarship Dormitory to nurture local talents who will lead the future of Gochang-gun.

Applications and submissions are open until the 14th of next month, and the final successful candidates will be announced on the 18th.

The selection targets are freshmen or current students of universities (including junior colleges) located in the Seoul Scholarship Dormitory (metropolitan area) and Jeonju Scholarship Dormitory (Jeonbuk area), whose applicants or their parents have had a registered address in Gochang-gun for more than one year.

The selection criteria for freshmen are based on the College Scholastic Ability Test scores, and for current students, the academic performance of the previous semester along with lifestyle and lifestyle scores are evaluated according to the Gochang Scholarship Dormitory operation regulations.

Applications can be submitted in person with the required documents at the People Development Team of the Welfare Administration Division, Gochang-gun Office, or through the Gochang-gun Office Welfare Administration Division website.

The dormitory stay period is one year, allowing residents to live until February next year. Residents pay a registration fee of 70,000 KRW and a monthly fee (150,000 KRW for Seoul, 130,000 KRW for Jeonju). The dormitory rooms are double occupancy and include facilities such as desks, chairs, beds, and lounges within the scholarship dormitory.
