Seoul's 67 General Hospitals Emergency Rooms Operate 24 Hours
1829 On-Duty Medical Institutions and 3385 Holiday Pharmacy Locations Open

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] During the Lunar New Year holiday period, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 22nd that it will designate and operate emergency and on-duty medical institutions, as well as holiday pharmacy keepers.

Sixty-seven emergency medical institutions and general hospital emergency rooms in Seoul will operate 24 hours a day. A total of 1,829 on-duty medical institutions will provide emergency medical services, and 3,385 holiday pharmacy keepers will be in operation.

Information on places open during the holiday can be found on the websites of the 119 Ambulance Situation Management Center, the 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, and the Central Emergency Medical Center. You can also call 120 (Dasan Call Center) or 119 (Ambulance Situation Management Center) without an area code for guidance. It is also available through the smartphone application 'Emergency Medical Information Service.'

Over-the-counter medicines such as digestive aids, antipyretic analgesics, and cold medicine can also be purchased at convenience stores.
