[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 20th that it has opened a 'Small Library,' a space for resident communication and harmony, in Hangdong Harbor Line Complex 8 in Hangdong District, Guro-gu, Seoul.
The opening ceremony held on the 18th was attended by Jang Shin-hee, resident representative, Kim Se-yong, president of SH Corporation, Kim In-je, chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council Urban Planning and Management Committee, among others, and included a plaque unveiling and congratulatory performances.
The SH Small Library will be used as an educational facility for children and youth, as well as a cultural living space for residents. SH Corporation will support the library's interior and books for a certain period after residents move in and will dispatch coordinators to operate cultural programs.
Kim Se-yong, president of SH Corporation, said, "We will help the Small Library serve as a focal point for forming a community among apartment residents," adding, "SH Corporation will always take an interest to ensure residents can operate it autonomously."
