35 New Government-Funded Projects with a Total Budget of 1.2 Trillion Won

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced on the 20th that it held the '2021 National Treasury Current Issues New Project Discovery Report Meeting' chaired by the deputy governor in the county office video conference room, and plans to make every effort to secure national treasury budget with the goal of surpassing 800 billion won in next year's budget.


The newly discovered national treasury projects this time consist of 35 cases with a total project cost of 1.2 trillion won. The projects focus on areas that can create driving forces for county development through improving residents' quality of life and increasing income, such as SOC expansion including construction of Yeondo bridges between Bigeum?Chupo, Docho?Haui, Sinui?Jangsan, and sewage system maintenance projects, as well as fishing boat purchase rental projects and various cultural facility construction projects.


In addition, continuous efforts will be made to secure national treasury funds for ongoing projects such as the opening of National Road No. 77 between Aphae and Hwawon (100 billion won), local fishing port construction projects (15.4 billion won), field base maintenance projects (6.9 billion won), and various park creation projects (3.9 billion won).


Furthermore, until the confirmation of national treasury requests, large-scale national treasury support projects such as job creation and future food sources will be additionally discovered and promoted to be reflected in central government ministries through Jeollanam-do.


Since this year, projects transferred to local governments from the Balanced Development Special Account have also been discovered with 15 new cases totaling 65.9 billion won, and efforts will be made to reflect them, while ongoing projects will be steadily carried out.


A Sinan-gun official stated, “We will make every effort to secure national treasury budget by developing meticulous logic so that the discovered projects can be reflected as much as possible by utilizing all networks of Jeollanam-do, central government ministries, and the National Assembly.”
