[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Seulgi Kim] YouTuber 'I'm Tourette,' who sparked controversy for falsely portraying tic disorder, explained that "the ultimate goal is to create a sitcom" and that I'm Tourette is one of the sitcom characters, drawing further criticism.

On the 17th, after changing the YouTube channel name to 'Jeneetou,' I'm Tourette posted a message on the YouTube community starting with, "As the controversy continues to grow, I want to provide answers to the questions about why I am persisting with YouTube."

I'm Tourette explained, "My ultimate goal is to produce a sitcom. I wanted to create it by myself, as I wished, without interference from anyone. The sitcom consists of a total of 20 episodes, and I wrote the script myself over about five years," adding, "I'm Tourette, whom I directed for a month, is also one of the characters, and the second is Jeneetou, an animation enthusiast."

He said, "A total of 12 characters appear, excluding minor roles, and all the characters resemble my traits and life. Ten characters remain, and I plan to occasionally expose them on this channel."

He continued, "Even if I receive criticism, I will reach the finish line. I am already someone who has no regrets about social life. I have nothing to fear."

Netizens who saw this reacted with anger, saying things like "How shameless," and "You really seem sick, go to a psychiatric hospital."

Previously, I'm Tourette, who opened a YouTube account in December last year, revealed that he has tic disorder and showed videos overcoming the disability, receiving support from many netizens.

However, a netizen claiming to be an acquaintance of his said, "I'm Tourette had no tic disorder 10 years ago. It seems he pretended to have Tourette syndrome to make money," raising suspicions of fabrication. As the controversy grew, I'm Tourette admitted to exaggerating the symptoms and stopped his YouTube activities.
