[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] The native shoe specialist company Geumgang Jehwa announced on the 16th that it has integrated and relocated its production factory and logistics center to Sejong City.
The company explained that the production factory located in Bupyeong and the logistics center located in Cheonan were integrated and relocated to Sejong City to enhance the efficiency of production and logistics.
The newly relocated Jochiwon factory and logistics center in Sejong City operate a shoe research institute, design center, and quality control team.
At this factory, based on research on products including the development of lasts, which are the most important in shoe manufacturing, and pattern grading (developing a standard size product first and then producing other sizes accordingly), they create products most suitable for Koreans.
To develop lasts that best fit Korean feet, 3D simulation work is also being conducted. Based on this work, Geumgang Jehwa currently possesses about 1,500 shoe lasts.
To secure excellent product quality, the company avoids outsourcing and directly produces and manages over 95% of its products domestically. The fact that all major raw materials are produced in its own factories is Geumgang Jehwa's greatest advantage.
A Geumgang Jehwa official said, “By integrating and relocating the previously separated factory and logistics center, we have been able to improve productivity and increase efficiency. As the number one domestic shoemaking company insisting on domestic production only, we are doing our best to enhance quality.”
