[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Heo Midam] Singer Yang Joon-il stated that he never agreed to the re-release of his first full-length album.
On the 14th, Yang Joon-il wrote on his Instagram, "I never agreed to the re-release of my first album scheduled for the 17th, and I only found out about it this morning," adding, "Please give me some time to clear up the misunderstanding."
He continued, "This is not the album I promised you," and apologized, saying, "I am sorry for not being able to prevent this situation in advance."
According to a media report, composer A, who participated in composing 'Rebecca,' is planning a re-release without Yang Joon-il's consent as the rights holder of 'Winter Traveler.'
'Winter Traveler' is Yang Joon-il's first album, which he produced at his own expense of 80 million won, but composer A had previously been listed as the rights holder. To rectify this, Yang Joon-il visited the Korea Music Copyright Association to register the copyright.
Meanwhile, Yang Joon-il debuted in 1991 and released songs such as 'Rebecca' and 'Ganadara Marabasa.' Last year, he made a comeback on television through JTBC's 'To You Project - Sugar Man 3' and has been actively participating in fan meetings and music show appearances.
