AtlasBX Motorsports, the first Korean team to participate in the '24 Hours Series,' competed in the GT4 class of the 24 Hours of Dubai 2020 race held from the 9th to the 11th at the Dubai Autodrome, finishing first among a total of 12 vehicles. Despite severe weather conditions, the team was recognized for its stable performance and secured victory on its first global challenge stage.
Celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, AtlasBX Motorsports has solidified its status as the top domestic team and took on the global stage through the '2020 24 Hours Series.' The team achieved double titles of driver and team champion for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019 in the ASA 6000 class, the highest category of the CJ Logistics Superrace Championship, Korea's largest motorsports competition, and recorded five driver championships and three team championships over six years.
The 24 Hours Series is the world's largest endurance race where global premium vehicles such as the Porsche 991, Lamborghini Hurac?n, and Mercedes-Benz AMG compete by driving a challenging course non-stop for 24 hours. Hankook Tire, the official sponsor of AtlasBX Motorsports, has been the title sponsor since 2015, exclusively supplying the participants with the best racing tires known for their durability.
Jangwoo Cho, CEO and driver of AtlasBX Motorsports, said, "All team members participated in the competition with a sense of mission representing Korean motorsports, which allowed us to achieve the best results from our first race.
